Short Sale
  • How a Short Sale is reported will affect your credit score
  • After Short Sale, Lender can report as:
    • - Paid in full- paid as greed
              OR
    • - Paid-Settled
               OR
    • - Paid-Unrated
  • If the owner is current with other payments it is possible that a short sale could lower the credit score by as little as 50 points
Foreclosure
  • Can lower credit score by 200 points or more
  • Foreclosure remains a public record and on credit history for 7 years
